Cover Artist Marty Stein. Martin is a working artist. He creates and retails his award winning illustrations primarily at fine art and craft shows throughout the Northeast. He also has exhibited and sold his work in Florida (winter) for several years and was featured on Southwest Florida’s Public TV (WGCU-TV)‘EXPRESSIONS’ and other local publications. Martin was the Artist in Residence at Cape Cod Community College in the Winter/Spring term of 2008. He has his Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Massachusetts, Amherst as well as an Associates Degree in engineering from Wentworth Institute and after some odd jobs and freelance photography; he applied both his artistic and technical skills in a job with a graphics design studio in Boston where, as a senior creative designer, developed a strong graphics’ foundation which lead to developing innovated techniques leading the studio to become one Boston’s most sought after for dynamic and award winning graphics and illustrations.
Visual Conspiracy was born out of the Boston studio experience. When the company needed to make some re-organizational changes, Martin needed to become solo. He grew Visual Conspiracy into an independent graphics business that provided innovative and smart visual solutions to a broad range of clients; publishers, retail services, and high-tech companies throughout Boston and vicinity.
After Martin and his family moved to the Cape, he decided to develop a personal artistic venture, continuing with the notion of innovative design graphics in illustration; eighteen years later he is still creating artwork enjoyed by a wide audience of supporters for their home or office décor with a vibrancy of design and color that merges the traditional and modern in inspiring ways.
Martin is an active member of the Artisans’ Guild of Cape Cod, having served posts on the executive board, committee chair, web-master and other operational functions.
Martin grew up at the beach and his passion for the shore remains his inspiration for the images he creates.
